A Picture on the Wall
I stared at this marvelous picture on the wall
It appeared to stare at me just to say
I am still here and watching over you all
Without a sound, I knew it was this way
The picture was a special one and only one
It knew how much value it was to me always
It cherished every minute of life it gave
Without a slight comment in those days
I wish only to see what it has seen
On the other side in his heavenly dream
I am sure he will never forget my love
And I will never forget his unheard scream
He just wanted to tell me goodbye
Now I sit and often cry
I miss you, son
I love you, son
Between us, you are alive and did not die
