Bowie & Elvis

Davy Jones was already taken
So Jones took a new surname to reflect his vibration
Bowie - the famed knife - it's sharp and its sleek
Just what he needed to create a mystique
Seeing him live was such a treat
He gave a show that brought you to your feet
Elvis didn't need a distinctive name
He stood out, always destined for fame
From gyrating hips to outrageous outfits
He always managed to churn out the hits
Elvis and Bowie, both born January Eighth
A toast to you both for making the world a brighter place
