AWAKE
Again I have searched the endless seas,
Foolish, blind and lost
Never did the compass lead me straight,
Nor did the stars give me light
Only the breath of the ocean to direct me,
As a blanket of fog covering my nakedness
Exposed and vulnerable,
Grasping for what was not there
Only upon reaching shore did I realize the error and complexity of my journey,
Broken, breathless, weary
