Teenage love

Teenage love is fake they say
It always fades away.
Teenage love lasts only days they say,
you'll end up going stray.
Your heart will break to bits of dust
there'll be no words to say,
there is no love at that young age,
your life will fade to gray.
But somehow I'm so tempted
to be young, and in love
I'm tempted to have someone close,
and not a lack there of.
I ought that scorching fire within
that burns the flames of warmth,
I need to feel that passion through
My veins, as though they're fireproof.
And they can claim all that they want
I'm not going to resist,
but I'm an anxious teenage mess,
I'm young waiting for love.

About this poem

This poem could be very relatable to many young people. I feel as though poems should have meanings, and to me, this poem is really meaningful.
