Vulnerability.

I shred my armour from my body
The way a snake sheds its skin
I peel and yes, I'll bleed a little
But my wounds will heal once you meet me in the middle
I’m dropping the sword
And waiting to meet you at the castle doors.
This feeling like I’ve never had before
Both terrifies me and enthrals me
Letting my heart breath for the first time in a while
Ive decided to take my armour off for good
As a solider, I’ve never felt more brave.
- Vulnerability.

About this poem

Im letting you in for the first time.. I must come outside of myself for the first time to do so. Both things terrify me but are necessary.
