Darling Dissonance

In the tangled chords of time’s refrain
A complex tune of growing pain
The whispers of a fractured song
A symphony where broken belong

Bickering wind, manic brass
Strings that shriek of each trespass
Dissonant notes of trust undone
Of quarrels that cannot be won

Contorted bodies shake and shudder
Shifting shapes alter each other
An oscillating tango for two
Evolving composition of new

A whirlwind dance, a tempest's embrace
In love's folly, a peculiar grace
Their flaws, a work of fractured art
Yet in every crack, a tender heart.
