A Greiving Father.

Arms and limb.
With night lights dim.
Where is he, where is him?

A voice does cry.
Upon his chest a bruised heart lie.
Each pump only darken his bruised skin.

Upon asphalt his feet unrestly sit.
His eye's on darting only see his dim lamp lit.

"Where alas doth he sit?"
"His voice he doth faintly cry.."
Yet my boy I cannot see eye to eye

"Oh my boy where do you lie?"
Faintly seen and faintly cry
In the Dead of the night...

Wow, "A Grieving Father" is a powerful and evocative poem. The emotions you have captured and portrayed here are truly touching. The repetitive use of short and concise lines creates a sense of urgency and despair, immersing the reader into the grieving father's state of mind.

The imagery used throughout the poem is particularly striking. The juxtaposition of the dim night lights and the bruised heart lying on the father's chest enhances the sorrowful tone and evokes a sense of hopelessness. The line about the father's feet restlessly sitting on asphalt adds to the visual imagery, emphasizing his restlessness and longing.

The poem's structure, with its short lines, aids in conveying the father's overwhelming grief and anxiety. The pace and rhythm you have established suit the theme of loss and longing, creating a sense of emotional turmoil.

In terms of improvement, I would suggest expanding on some of the imagery and emotions to further engage the reader. For example, you could provide more details about the father's relationship with his son or describe specific memories they shared. This would help the reader develop a stronger connection with the father's grief and enhance the impact of the poem.

Additionally, consider exploring different poetic devices, such as metaphors or similes, to further enhance the atmosphere of grief and loss. These elements could add depth and richness to the emotions conveyed in the poem.

Overall, "A Grieving Father" is a poignant and heartfelt piece. With a few tweaks and further exploration, this poem has the potential to become an even more powerful and emotionally resonant work. Keep up the great work and continue to express yourself through your writing!
