Authentic Love

A moment in time that stood still when he said those three words
Equivalent to a crisp quiet morning, sweet song from dancing birds

Never to be taken for-granted, each word, touch and look has such meaning
When with him the world looks different, the sun changes from bright to beaming

Hard to contextualise the feelings, not enough words but it’s all that we feel
A knowing that on our journey he will give me the powers to help me heal

Not scared to put my heart on the line because everything is genuine and true
And when that moment in time stood still, I knew that I loved you too.
