Broken
The tears are always there,
sometimes they are silent;
Every time I think about you.
It's a pain I endure, all alone.
Seems like i won't ever heal from my wounds.
You were supposed to be here.
I was supposed to watch you grow.
What your voice sounds like,
your laughter, not even your cry I'll never know.
Why couldn't I save you?
The world kept spinning.
I put on a fake smile, pretending to be whole when parts of me are missing.
I look at the sky still trying to figure out why.
I close my eyes, I still see your face.
So peaceful, so still.
No one can ever hurt you.
My baby you will always be.
I will always love you.
