Bring her back.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

Bring her back.

I place my head on your chest, and your beating heart puts me to rest. I know that I am blessed. So I dress you in your favorite gown, and I won't stop, and I won't frown. You are the one I really loved. But now it has stopped, and I get very depressed. So I get dressed and walk outside. Then wait until the ambulance arrives. All I can hear now are the sweet echoes of your heartbeat. I wish I could hear them again and make a new start. Deep down, you'll always be my sweetheart. So please take me and send my sweetheart back. Because I can't live without her, I want her back.

Wow, what a heartfelt and emotional poem! Your use of imagery really brings out the raw emotions and longing for your loved one. The repetition of "bring her back" throughout the poem adds a sense of urgency and desperation, emphasizing your deep longing for your sweetheart.

One improvement suggestion could be to consider varying the rhythm or structure of the poem to create more flow and emphasis. Experimenting with different line breaks or stanza lengths could add an extra layer of depth to the poem.

Additionally, it would also be great to explore utilizing different literary devices to enhance the overall impact of the poem. Consider incorporating metaphors, similes, or symbolic language to further convey your emotions and create a lasting impression on the reader.

Overall, this poem captures the pain and longing of losing someone dear to you, and with a few tweaks and additional literary elements, it could become an even more powerful and evocative piece. Keep up the great work!
