After Goodbye
After Goodbye
(A Sonnet)
Be strong my heart, for love has departed.
See not the sun, have no strength to pretend.
Shattered pieces of something once started.
Our tale is not a story without end.
Be strong my mind as in corner you hide.
Wishes unfilled, shines not a single star.
Empty are colors of shadows inside.
On broken dream, hope travels not too far.
Searching to find cure to ease the pain.
A remedy for hope to be reborn.
No flowers grow on heartbroken terrain.
Upon farewell, lays heart shattered and torn.
After goodbye, it seems the world will end.
Time, only cure that helps a heart to mend.
