Little Book

An illusion from my head, to made up stories from my bed, I wonder sometimes if I'm alive or if I am dead.
A fairytale dream, now a robotic machine, left in silence trying to hear your own scream, but I didn't hear a thing, or so it would seem.
Tucked in with this little book, so don't close your eyes you must keep them open too take a look, otherwise you may be the next victim on the fisherman's hook.
From beginning to end, in this particular story
there was never a real friend, now you wonder if this fable is really true or pretend, as your eyes slowly blink it starts over again.
So now does this book have your attention, because there is so much more that I still need to mention, so listen closely or pay close attention, are you dying yet from all the suspension.
You attempt to move only to find you can't get out of your bed, all the while trying to understand the words that now dance through your head.
There are no pictures in this little story book and no title so you create the label, so heed what's being read and use your imagination but only if your able.
This little thriller of words has been placed so precisely on paper and can only be told one time, because as it unfolds you realize that this tale can be a tale that is yours or even mine.

About this poem

All I can say is the reader must look beyond what is there to read.
