Essence
If I let down my walls fully
Would you love me,
If the scars on my heart showed
Would you still care,
If I told of all my fears
Would you run away.
Love,
An ever changing word of action.
Life has taught me to be guarded
Cautious, Silent, Still,
Yet you are changing me
Drawing me away from my shell,
Shedding light on the darkness
Laying bare my heart,
I wonder your taste
The caress of your skin,
My thoughts perplexed
Unruly, Wild, Screaming,
In everything I see you
A song, a smile
The wind reminds me of your absence,
Longing just to hold you
To whisper my desires.
Unfocused, Nervous, Lost
I search for you,
Seeking your peace
Wanting your touch….
