The eyes

That one short moment your eyes meet, the window to your soul, the personal diary you keep.
It's there  in that glance your story is told.
Your fears, hopes, dreams every tear you've cried.
Every good time you've had and the pain you've endured.
The eyes tell your stories no need for words.
Such power in a look, such passion can be shared.
In a gentle embrace when two eyes meet.
Your lost in a world with no one else around.
The world melts away two souls connect.
Such a powerful bond I must admit.
So forgive me when I talk and I shift my gaze down.
I can't just bear my soul to everyone around.
