When can I see you again?

Spirit can have me a ghost that dwells and rises like a toaster in a toast.
I do not want to be left like a duck and the roast,
But having a settler rise what lurks in the masters eyes,
To my surprise and demise.
As I attain and gain,
I need somebody to envelope me,
Assure me that everything will be fine.
What creeps up from behind?
The flow that is gained,
The time that is gained,
I live to see new life again!
So shall we return like sankofa bird, like gone in the wind.
The icicles that begin.
If they hide, I still rise, like the irises in the eyes.
