Another Lost Day

Tonya Richardson 1968 (Mississippi)

Everyday is just the same, full of loneliness and pain.
You hope for rainbows and butterflies,
but instead get emptiness and dark gray skies.
You close your eyes and say a prayer,
but everyday the pain is still there.
As time goes by you lose more hope,
with each passing day it gets harder to cope.
No matter what you do or say,
tomorrow is just another lost day.
