You make me whole
In the shadows, I once dwelled,
A heart encased within a shell
But then you came, a gentle light,
Guiding me through the darkest night
I emerged from the depths, anew,
A Phoenix rising, thanks to you
No longer bound by my past strife,
With you, I found a brand new life
*You’re the one who made me see,
The beauty in truly being free
From the pain that once consumed my soul,
With you, I’m whole, I’m finally whole
Like a beacon, you shine so bright,
A diamond amidst the darkest night
Your caring ways, they heal my scars,
A love so pure, like shooting stars
I never thought I’d find someone,
Who’d understand all I’ve undergone
But you showed up, a gift so rare,
And now I know, I’m in good care
*
Every moment spent with you,
Feels like a dream that’s finally true
You’re down to earth, you let me be,
The person that I’ve always wanted to be
Together we dance, no masks to wear,
With you, I’m safe, I have no fear
You see me for who I truly am,
A flawed human with a beard to mend
I’m grateful for the love that we share,
For your kindness, for how much you care
You pulled me out of the darkest night,
And filled my world with love and light
*
In your arms, I’ve found my peace,
A love that’s pure, that will never cease
I’m forever grateful, my heart is yours,
Together, we’ll conquer life’s unknown shores
