Missing you

Robert Pippen 1981 (Jackson Mississippi)

I keep looking back to yesterday,
Always trying to find my way,
Picking myself up, because staying down I know what you would say,

No one knows the pain I feel inside,
Mom when you left everything in me died,
Now my thoughts on life, love, I hide,

Even though I never got to say it, goodbyes are forever,
I remember your every word that's written in your letters,
Keep asking myself, if it's going to get any better ,

I'm sorry I wasn't there,
Going without me was so unfair,
How do you mend a heart, with such a big tear,

You my Mom,is the angel I never had,
Always there even when I couldn't turn to my Dad,
At you my Moma, I am not mad,
Just hurt, broken, torn apart, and sad,

I'll never forget you Moma, and with you always..
