Fire
I watched as all of the things set on fire
The memory, so easily expired
All of the words, haunted me like a ghost
So l threw out the pages, and the words, I’d roast
Because something so blue
Became an orangey hue
As the flames caught, I was distraught over you
The sticks and the daggers that you once used to beat me
Now lie underneath the fire so neatly
The scars and the tears became dry from the air
So now I lie awake wondering if you’ll return
Your spirit, I cleared it, but I’m still concerned
I leave this fire for you to see us diminish
But also to find out if you seek forgiveness
