This land is my land? This land is your land?
From the ancient city, to the Mediterranean strand,
From the settlement walls, to the olive sand,
This plot seems disputed by every clan.
Was it the scriptures? Or a UN plan?
That carved out borders, in this ancient land?
From the desert stretches, to the urban strand,
Oh, can't we share it, hand in hand?
Generations passed, many lives were lost,
From skirmishes, battles, at a hefty cost.
Seventy-five years, tears like morning frost,
For every soul gone, what's the endmost cost?
This land has stories, both young and grand,
From the shepherd’s tales, to the modern band.
From the bustling markets, to the desert's tan,
Yet still, we argue, who owns the land?
From ancient tales to the present stand,
The land has witnessed, pain's heavy hand.
Every loss, every cry, in this contested land,
Echoes a plea for peace, a united band.
