body

Aliza Berrell 2008 (Perth)

My body is my body not yours
Its mine to touch not you
I don’t care if I know you or don’t.
This is my body and it’s my choice.
When they touch me,
there hands stick there for hours.
And no amount of soap can wash that off.
Why does MY body feel like this?
The touch of others is something I do not enjoy.
I feel like a decoy.
So why do people keep touching me.
I can feel there rough, smooth, hard hands on me.
And I don’t like where they sit.
My stomach curls my fists get tight.
My head twirls.
I need it to stop.
I need these voices to return to my bed.
I can’t control the horrible thoughts of what else they would do to me.
If I could not consent
Your hands stick to me like glue.
It doesn’t wash off it sticks.
And my stomach feels like a pit.
Get your hands off its my body not yours
That’s it I QUIT.
