Blue Jay

She thought that she could hold the world,
But it slipped from her grasp.
Everybody walking by
All stopped just to laugh.
She tried again and again
But she continued to fall,
The world lost her
And she lost it all
But what could she do except lie there and stare
Wondering what the world would be like
If she were aware
That nobody can hold the world
Especially not some little girl.
So she got up off the ground
And followed the sound
Farther and farther away
Following the call of a beautiful bluejay
Into a land of happiness
Where everything would be okay.
