At First Touch

You have a smile worth a million earths
I search that terrain
To find no dearth
It makes me smile.

Finding mundane would be so fragrant,
But I never do
That’s what people are,
–Not mundane,
But stars

Distant neutrons filled with power
So caught up in their own solar system

I covet their attention only for a second
–Asteroids of information collide with me
In that moment, infinite possibilities occur

But with my tunnel vision,
I’m retrogressed back to earth
To that bereftness that awaits

It forces me to see my adorations
Must be placed under conviction,
So that they can meet rejuvenating reinvention

Meet with the bridge and
–Transcend the barrier of hope
For
I go in with the best of intentions,
I hold hands with their guise,
And it paints my feeble heart red
Metamorphosed from open
To splatter on a wall
A fluttering thing turned destitute
Because it trusted the bear that fed it
