A mess

Kevin Schulz 2023 (Porta Westfalica)

The way I keep on colliding is frightening.
The way I paved for myself with all its bricks tightening.
The way I decide what's best for me always turns out to be the worst yet I can't help the gust, it's a split, a struck of lightning.

The way my tears stick together despite all the truth spent denying beneath all the fighting.
The way your impurities leave as my eyes do all the refining as they're complying.
The way you locked me in a room, you're confining, you tied me up so tight the shackles were pining, you lived yourself out but I was dying.
The way I went from following the road to hastily looking for an exit since your lanes are prone to burst one up crying.

The way you tried to seize me all due to the chase.
The way you endeavored my submission in so many ways, still you made my cheeks ablaze.
They way I poured you in, what a waste of grace, never getting back to these days.
Perhaps one last time, perhaps I'll fix my mistakes.

The way you continued to stray.
Even when everything was over anyway.
Always wondered what you would say.
Now I'm certain, I never wanted to edge away
