A better tomorrow

Better tomorrow

The sun was out
It brought darkness about
I opened my eyes
But felt a world full of lies

The flowers so bright
But just nothing feels right
My mind feels lost
And all i can think of is at what cost...

I want to feel
But first i need to heal
I want to see the colors in a flower
Only then will I know my own power

I will be better tomorrow
And feel no sorrow
As i choose no darkness
But only a life full of brighness.

About this poem

Feelings and emotions and letting go of something I had no control over and realizing that tomorrow is upto me to feel happy or to feel sad.

Just a small town girl :-) realizing that emotions is worth putting down in words, and is actually kinda therapeutic. I live in South Africa and hope to touch someones heart in a way poetry has touched mine. more…
