Your Expectations Are Not Mine To Want

Not a second that makes one minute.
To take one hour awaiting it to come.
Have I tried or attempted,
Living my life to meet your expectations!
Your expectations are not mine to want.
Flaunting what I do is not my ambition.

This assumption may come,
From your belief is what I do done.
To think what I do is a jealousy I have,
Of your accomplishments achieved.
I am happy about the attention you receive.

How many times have I supported,
Your successes to say...
How proud I am of your endeavors?
How many times have I attended,
Your events?
With my mentioning to others,
Done to recommend to them.

That which I have done to do,
With time taken and sacrificing too?
Is a need to want myself to improve.
In a competition,
Having nothing with you to do.
Our paths are quite different.
And that I enjoy the most.
You are determined to succeed.
This you do is no different than me.
And this to meet,
My own expectations.

Since what you expect to suspect,
Is my wanting to wish what you do.
But I've got enough trying to do my best.
Better done to do it too!
To have it to me heard said,
If I had did what I do another way...
My wishes for success,
Would not be delayed.
Yet not do they have a hint or clue,
As to what I do that keeps me motivated!
Or what is inside my head,
Providing me the incentive!

I don't follow trends.
I'm on a mission to create them.
