Limited Insight
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
It could be possible.
That someone knowledgeable,
About something not to have experienced.
Better than one who has done it to live.
It could also be possible,
Others know who did what for who.
When, where, day or night.
From a limited insight nowhere seen to view.
And...
Believe it or not,
It could be possible too...
That some people can convince,
Whatever they have fictioned to delude...
Is more acceptable than truth and its reality!
'How do you know what you did done to do,
Was real enough to say by others...
They saw and witnessed what you did.
And they have evidence and proof,
Of what you did with pictures of you taken.'
'You know,
You are right.
No where in sight,
Did I see you with them.'
'Exactly.
As far as I know,
You could have made everything up.
Just to make me think,
You have that kind of ability.
And none of it did I see,
When you moved away to another state.
To live in a city unknown to me.
Or...
Were you related to anyone there I could call!'
'That's what I forgot.'
'What did you forget?'
'I forgot to ask God for your approval.'
'Hmmm...
Too late for that one.'
'And also a broader imagination.
At least a block or more,
Away from your comfort zone.'
'For what reason and why?
I ain't trying to be all up in people's business.
Thinking to know me if I should wave.
Just because they see me once in awhile.
I live my life to know what I'm talking about.
Before I open my mouth to say a word.'
'Is it possible you can write that down.
Have it notorized.
And mail me a copy?'
'This is where you want proof and evidence,
Of my truth.
But...
What I know and tell people things you do,
They claim I exaggerate.'
'Well...
You and I do have one thing in common.
I do what you exaggerate that gives others,
The incentive and motivation...
To research the facts.
And leave them disappointed,
When not one lie do they find!'
'And you say,
My insight is limited.
I tell people what they want to hear.
So...
Go ahead.
Accuse me for getting you free publicity!'
