Haiku - Cat in the Rain

Found cat in cold rain
we shared warm home with delight
he must soon return

About this poem

I befriended a cat when walking out in the rain. He was wet and looked lost and he followed me home. After putting him a wall out of the rain I noticed 2 foxes looking at him so I took him in my home till the morning. This haiku is about the few hours spent with the cat. The first line sets the scene by describing the cat's plight in the cold rain, while the second line conveys the warmth and comfort he found in the kind person's home. The third line hints at the cat's eventual return to his own home, leaving a sense of bittersweetness.
