The Truth is..
In the silent landscape of my heart, I claim I've moved beyond,
Yet in the labyrinth of our memories, I find myself ever so fond.
The echo of your laughter, your smile, a radiant sun,
A visage I adore, yet from which I've vowed to run.
Our past is a tapestry, woven with strands of gold,
Bittersweet nostalgia, a tale of love untold.
Though I've sought to sever ties, to the past, I'm still a part,
The truth is, darling, that I miss you, and it's tearing me apart.
I yearned to chart new territories, to make new memories bright,
Yet the shadow of your presence, lingers on each night.
With others, I've shared laughter, hands entwined, hearts alight,
Yet every echoed touch, every shared delight, reminds me of your sight.
How you held my hand, held my heart, close to your gentle chest,
A sanctuary of warmth and love, where my weary soul found rest.
The truth is I miss you, more than words can express,
The pain of your absence is a wound, etched deep in my distress.
Yet, perhaps the chains that bind me are not just pain and sorrow,
Perhaps a part of me clings to yesterday, afraid to face tomorrow.
Your smile was like the summer breeze, warm yet chilling to the core,
In your eyes, I saw galaxies, a universe to explore.
But I hope, my love, you'll find what you seek, in another's arms someday,
Someone who cherishes your heart, in every single way.
You are worth the pain, the ache that lingers in my soul,
I hope they give you all you want, make your fragmented heart whole.
My love, you were worth the pain, the tears, the silent cries,
Though my heart aches for you, I hope you find your skies.
For you were my summer breeze, my universe, my song,
And though I miss you dearly, I'll try to be strong.
For the truth is, I miss you, more than words can truly say,
But I hope you find love anew, as I learn to walk away.
Perhaps it's not about letting go, but understanding the pain,
For you were worth every tear, every loss, and every gain.
