Burning Down The Grouch

Tired of it and fed up.
With a tolerating tantrums.
Thrown by grown up spoiled men and women.
Unsatisfied by all they've been given.
Defending the leader,
Of their soiled playpen.
Pretending it not done by them.
But others praying,
Them to disappear in Hurricane winds.

Protesting with wishes and hopes,
To spread their civil unrest of a mess created.
Just for the purpose to project an image,
Of themselves as selected...
As representives of the best there is,
Of life to live their way to have.
Pretentiously fictioned.

While the leader of their pack,
Sit back laughing.
Knowing the doing of this done to do,
Would prevent more excuses created to use...
Fiction to weaponize alibis and told lies.
As effective tools.
To keep the evidence of proof revealed.
That begins to ignite the fire in the eyes,
Of their leader skilled to portray...
Multiple disguises.

Yet...
One disguise this leader can not disguise,
Is a fear of everything claimed to possess...
Will go up in flames,
Worthless to anyone else.
As their leader slouches like the grouch,
To be unseen publicly.
Attempting with noticeable melting charm,
To keep the heat applied to the seat.
Where this picked leader sits,
Observing what had been valued...
Including attention to get to feed an ego.
Burned.
Leaving nothing in return.
But public embarrassment to have it earned.

And...
Some say heard to hear,
Deservingly served is the justice presented!

'How could this happen to us?'

'What are you talking about?
This is not happening to us.
That is happening to him!'

'No.
Those are more deceiving lies,
Told to hear from his critics.
Anyone can see to believe...
What is happening to him,
He did the best he could...
To keep that from happening to us!'

'Anď...that US he refers to is...
Who?'

'Are you blind?!
Himself and the rest of us.
Known to be loyal fans,
Of everything he does to prove...
Just how committed and devoted he is.
And we are too.
To ensure he is pleased by our activities!'

'Oh.
Enjoy the heat.'

'We will.
Many of us are proactive.
And brought along bags of ice.
Just in case.
If our leader needs to calm down and chill,
Out!'
