Treacherous Lure

You played games with my heart,
Like a lion you ripped me apart,
You studied me precisely like prey,
Just to humiliate me in every way,

Piece by piece opening me up slow,
The trust I had in you, you made it grow,
You knew how to make me feel so secure,
But all along it was just a treacherous lure,

So the person you said you were was a lie,
And you laughed as you saw I started to cry,
Every word that you said I now second guess,
You watched as I bled but you couldn't care less,

Now I hate that I wasted my love so pure,
It was different this time I thought so sure,
You knew you had me right where you wanted me,
You smiled as you heard my desperate plea,,

Now I'm split seeing you as the image you made,
And the you that came out to destroy and invade,
And not a piece of you now makes at all any sense,
You shattered me whole when I had no defence,

Up until now my heart still thought fondly of you,
I can hold my head high because my heart is true,
Now I never want to see you not even in my dreams,
You've taken it next level and so far into extremes.

Goodbye I will say with eyes filled with hot tears,
This was always one of my most biggest fears,
Discovering you had me fooled this whole time,
I put my whole heart and my soul into this rhyme.
