How should I address you?
How should I address you?
Childhood friend?
Nostalgic scent?
Or a kaleidoscope view?
You stay stable and strong.
But I was wrong.
I've seen you suffering from a cold.
Where your skin is getting old
Your leaves were falling down like snow.
But you make a home for a crow.
You're smiling when the sun touches you.
But you cry when the thunder scolds you.
I've seen every part of you.
Sometimes you're green but yellow too.
I've seen you as you are.
I've seen what you've faced so far.
I'm growing with you and crying too.
But I forgot to see your roots.
Every year, you're changing. I wish I would.
But somehow you manage to stay on your roots.
How can you be so strong to stay the same for years?
I'm here, changing like crocodile tears.
You're so immensely beautiful,
How can I describe you , being a fool?
When you'll die or someone will cut you off
I then can't hold back my tears and pray to God.
To protect you after your death
To give me some sort of strength
And make me like you, stable and still
As you face all the seasons with the will
About this poem
This poem is about nostalgia and memories of my childhood . I've written this poem on a tree, standing in front of my house. I've made many memories with it, and shared so many phases of my life. It acts as a mirror to the weather circle of our world and the phases of human life . This tree is really close to my heart that's why I dedicated some phrases to it.
