Break Up With The Devil

I had to break up with the devil

He almost convinced me to sell my soul for a bottle

Told me I don’t need a wife, I just need my phone and these instagram models

He supported me, when I had shades on, sitting there adding clouds to the sky

Sitting next to me, whispering in my ear, “Now this is the life.”

He told me, “Life is too short to not have fun.”

I took that as whenever I see responsibility, I should just take off and run

“Live in the moment.”, was one of his favorite quotes

But he refused to tell me the words I needed to hear the most

Those words were, “Your on the wrong path, you need to steer right.”

Thats when I finally came to the realization that he’s not my guy

He knew every weakness, every detail about me and all my vices

He knew I could shine, but he also knew I couldn’t see my own brightness

And thats why I told him, “It’s Over.”
