Adhd

Hiding under a rock,
Except these are piles.
Piles of clothes,
Papers,
Emails

Distractions;
Keeping the brain on its toes
Like a toddlers inability to sit still at the beach.

Dangers;
Fearing the silence;
With the need to share every inappropriate thought that crosses my mind just to escape it.
Social suicide

Regretting;
Ever asking for help
When the doc shoves SSID down your throat
Never helping you after all,
despite a diagnosis.

29 years of the battle
It's chewed you up and spit you out.
With no end in sight

Piled up issues,
Which the weight is so heavy;
Like a rock to hide under,
Forever

About this poem

Spreading ADHD awareness. Amongst a shortage in the medication to treat it. I was never offered the medication to treat my diagnosed ADHD. I have a list to the floor of diagnosises. It's all due to the symptoms of untreated ADHD. But they give it to children who haven't even figured it out yet. Make it make sense. Just a contributing issue to the pile of issues we hide under in society ...
