A special child

A special child, unique in every way
You should always realise I love you every day.
Don’t despair and carry on
The way you always do
And always remember that there’s no one as special in this world out there  just like you.

Times are hard, you try you best and I know you have much distress
But mommy’s here and will always be to take you by the hand.
I’ll guide the way and I will pray that one day you will see
That the love I have for you is between you and me.

You flap you fingers and clap your hands
And trash the house at times
But I understand how your feel and that to give you time.
But as long as you know what ever you do. It will always be just me and you.

You may not paint a picture to put up in a frame
Or even try to spell you name
But I have faith it’s there and you will one day
Prove me right in all I pray

I worry for the future. I worry for the present.
But I realise now that you were sent down from heaven.
A gift from god. I owe him dear
To have a son, I know so clear.

I’ll be there through the good and the bad
and those times you know we have had.
Together we will fight this and come out strong
And I’ll be there for you even if you do wrong.

I’m there through all the sleepless nights
Where u want to be held so tight.
I’ll be your voice always and I know you understand
As mommy has said. I’ll take you by the hand.

I’ll deal with the frustration and the meltdowns too.
But never forget there’s no one just like you.
You are special to me and the best thing ever.
And you to me are as delicate as a feather.

I’ll stand by you and do you proud.
I wish for the day you say, I’m the best mommy around.
Until that day I’ll carry on and stand by you and support you in every way.
That one day you will see I love you more each and every day.

You are my world, my reason for living
and the rewards you keep on giving.
And I will never give up
To carry on being a mom to a special one.
That is you my love.
My one and only son
