Autumn Seasonings

Autumn Seasonings
Autumn peppering peppered in like fine dust
On a milky white cloud
Orange misty rains in the daylight morn
Fire red sunsets seeping into apple cider sips amongst the old oak tree
Amber colored changes up on my face
Cold weathered attitudes that stain my herat
As the leaves fall hard like icebergs in the Artic
Cool nights apprehensively admitting their wrongs
As if apologizing for being late for dinner
But the heart tugs and yearns for answers
To a question deep deep into the burnt ombre of its soul
Lightly caressing its resources
Pondering contemplating the dark recesses
Of man’s plight
Wondering how many flights of birds will drink from my waterfalls
Through maple syrup and apple cider offerings late in October
As an old oak near the cider mill
Contemplates the last apple picked in its orchard
Will it see its brothers and sisters next autumn
A pity ponderance
It doesn’t really matter
Autumn remembering always make the heart grow fonder…or colder ?
