Bobber in the Water

I'm floating
I'm floating right above the surface
just enough not to drown
deep breath in to hold air
before the water suffocates me
for a brief moment
I know I'll make it back to the surface
blowing out air beneath the waves
creating bubbles slowly panicking
maybe this time I won't make it back up
close my eyes
I'm floating back up
I'm a bobber
life is open water
I just sway with the motions
never lose sight of the surface
I'll always float back up
