A birds last song
I sat with the sweetest bird in hand
I heard it speak yet didn't understand
It's feathers were softer than saten or silk
It's velvet tones hit deep and heartfelt
Prettier eyes than the sun on the sea
I knew that I would be the last thing you'd see
How subtle stare you peaced in me
As time took you on for destiny
Your rest the branches of this tree
To say goodbye for God Almighty
