You say I love you

You say we have a relationship
But you only call me in the morning
To have a 5 minute conversation
And you don’t even let me say a word
You just like to remind me
Of things I already know of
And then I don’t hear from you again.
You say we have a relationship
But you only come to my house
Once a week
To hang out with me.
Today I saw the message you left
You said ‘I love you’,
I scroll down hoping to see more
But it was only those 3 little words.
The other day
I was working and I heard a notification
I had another message from you.
I was so exited
I thought you wanted to to hang out with me
Or at least talk on the phone for an hour
But when I saw the message
My smile disappeared
‘Sorry I have been busy and we haven’t talked’
‘I can’t hang out with you this weekend anymore’
I stared at the message for a while
And thought:
How can you say we have a relationship
If we don’t spend time together
Nor talk for hours on the phone.
And when you do seek me
It’s because you need me
How can you say you love me
If you don’t even want to be with me.
If you don’t even know me.
Oh how much I love you
My love for you consumes me
That I still want to be with you
And cherish the crumbs that you give me
Even when every ‘I love you’ you say
Is a stabbed on my heart.
I wish one day you mean it
When you say ‘I love you’,
I will be waiting for that day
Every minute of every day
Until my heart stops beating
With Love Jesus
Your God and Friend
