You made me insecure

Mokoena Setjhaba 2002 (The Republic Of South Africa)

You made me insecure

You made me insecure
Yes you did
You dug a very deep grave full of doubts
A grave full of insecurities and mistrust
You made sure to make sure that trust is the last thing i have
You made me insecure.

Now my feelings are no longer mine
Because you took over the day you told me he's just a friend hmm
Now when i hear those words i feel betrayed
I cannot describe the dissapointment i have for myself to have believed you because
You made me insecure.

You made me doubt even my name
Even the fact that tomorrow exists you got me stuck in your galaxy
Living in your shadow, a very dark one
I couldnt see nothing i was blind
I was stuffed in a tin and only you had the tin opener
Only you knew how to get me out and you alone made sure im compressed very tight in your tin
You made me insecure.

Worthless? I still wonder
Do i have hope to get out
Are there people who have the tin opener?
Will they open it before i suffocate and pickle? I won't know
But for now i only know that
You made me insecure.
