Winters Embrace
Winter wraps us in days Dark and cold.
Freezing rain upon my face
numbs the body,
chills the soul.
Blue eyes turned grey,
hold the memory of a summer day.
Trees are empty.
the ground is bare.
tracks in the snow
of a lonely hare.
However dreary
we embrace winter.
for without it
there can be no spring.
