Perfectly Damaged

The cracks run deep within my soul,
Etched by trials I did not choose.
Yet through these flaws I’ve learned to see
The beauty that in brokenness grows.

My edges are sharp, my corners worn,
I’ve been chipped and dinged and bent out of shape.
But through the struggle I’ve found my strength,
The fire that guides me on my way.

I am scarred but I am healing,
I am wounded but I still dream.
I am flawed yet I keep moving,
I am broken but I gleam.

For each crack lets the light shine through,
And every chip reveals the glow within.
My damage does not define me,
My story’s just beginning.

So I wear my imperfections well,
With pride and not with shame.
For I know now it’s in the breaking
That we become perfectly named.
