Monster

JM Teñoso 1995 (Manila)

the closer i get, the happier they are
in a zinfandel they torture me for life
with guns pointing at me i've got no steps left behind, wounded so deeply that it tears myself apart

i can hear those sounds
laughing at me
like a sad song in my favorites,
how sweet and sour they are

lying in my bed doing some notes
tryna act like i am at work
not to let those things out of comfort

now that it's worse i'm on the loose for
tonight it will be the worse
waking up at midnight is one of their course
that dies when the daylights hold me so close.
