Fill my cup

Fill my cup

I remember
how I’ve looked
At the stars,
laying on my back.

How can I count Your ways ?
Your endless mercies,
I adore
How Your cup was emptied,
Not broken...

For me, for everyone.
Just as I gazed at the stars,
I realized
that some are near,
Bright and shiny,
Just as I gazed at the stars,
I realized
that some are near,
Bright and shiny,

Others are far away, glowing
Waiting for their turn to enter the lanes
of Your mercies.
I clutch Your name,

Like the cup in my hands
As your name shatters
Any other cup
Trying to manipulate my destiny
They are shattered, spilled
And destroyed!

With the words of fire

While I raise Your name
As a banner upon my life.
I’ve got no other choice
But to yield my cup unto You.

About this poem

I wrote this poem because I loved watching the night sky when I was little. It fills me with wonder and I marvel about the creation and the Creator.
