Broken Hearted

As light turns to darkness..
  tears fall from my eyes.
Thinking of days that turned into nights..
  smiles that turned into cries.

Cries for answers I still haven’t found…
  pain that brings my knees to the ground.

My happy ending seems far from sight..
 there’s no way to know if I’m wrong or right.

I look for answers to questions I never asked…
  understanding to situations from the past.  

I live with our past that didn’t seem so bad…
  Is there no way to get back to what we once      had?

Push me aside, push me away…
  my love for you will always stay.

When the emptiness of the night brings your thoughts back to me…
  Remember, I wanted a future while you pushed me to be a memory.
