Bones

Tasnim issa

Years to months
Time passes by
Shedded tears scar our hearts
Months to days
Time slips away
Spilled blood stain our souls
Hours to minutes
Abandoned by time
What is left?
Greens wiped out by greed
Endless heeps of valueless trash
That once brought happiness
What is left?
But a rotting nothing
But silence haunting the air
Once flooded with sound
What is left?
But our forgotten bones

About this poem

I wrote this poem to remind us that in the end all that matters is what you did, not what you had because it will all be gone eventually expect your actions
