As I walk the street of my life

J thought I meet the love of my dreams
She was strong but humble
Her love and compassion flowed without hesitation
She loved with passion which consumed and thrilled me
Now she is gone and I wander without purpose
As I walk the streets of my life
Like a fine bottle of wine
My love did not pass the test of time
The weeks and months go on
As I walk the streets of my life
As the winds and oceans produce waves
Loneliness is drowning me
As the fog rolls In
My mind and hearth trust to escape
The reality of a lost love
The birds fly south
The seasons change
Babies are born
As I walk the streets of my life
