A Fairytale Box

Nahla Amer 1980 (Egypt)

A fairytale box full of secrets , full of treasure..
Though seems small yet too deep , how much it takes!! No one can tell , no one could measure..

Tightly closed with an old rust key , it’s been too long since one even tried to remove its lock ..
The fact is that all that’s in shall not come out …when full to the rim , it shall unlock ..
That which can’t be endured is down there ,things we keep far from reach of those who mock ..
Years and years did add to the box , that one shall wish to pause its
clock ..

All in there gave a full vision of what lies beneath souls , beyond words , and what eyes hide behind a smile ..
It takes so long to fill the box ,yet to open with rare ones ,it only takes a very short while  ..
Reaching the bottom is diving deep in one’s soul , before you judge in their path, you walk a mile ..

The heart too is a fairytale box full of treasure..
Though you wish you kept it closed, yet it’s what gives life meaning, gives it pleasure..
