The Dust Bowl For Angles

Richard J Edwards 1960 (Ft Belvoir)

In a dustbowl kind of town I lived until I grew up.
Then I had dreams of to many to describe.
At this age the world is big and confusing.
The pull to find my own is so very strong and undenible.
What do I do can I make it out? On every street corner
there R shadows wanting to sell U this or that promising
U this way to make money how about that. They mix up your
mind and try to lead U astray. Whats a man to do. Then like
an angel she popped up with a glow. Take my hand she said
and I'll show U the way. She brought me to this building
filled with people and we sat as they all said welcome.
Then they started to talk about Jesus. I heard of him
back in my hometown but never thought much about him.
As the stories went on I started to realize he's been
in my heart and soul all the time. Things started to
make sense and my mind became clear. Unbelievable this
man is more than 2000 years old and not even alive among
the living anymore and he's still talked about and still
guiding and influencing lives. I became more alive and
sure of what I need to do. That angel I first met on that
faithful night I was lost became my wife and the Mother of
my child. Jesus still saves more lives than anyone else.
How about yours.
