Answer me?
Dr Tamanna Chatuurvedi 1975 (Uttar Pradesh)
I entered this beautiful world all alone,
innocence was all that had then flown!!
the way I was born and brought,
this was the lesson I was always taught!!
Child, it’s the same God in all the soul,
and we all eventually would merge with the ultimate goal!!
this feeling made me feel so cheerful and sanguine,
and I showered on everyone the faith and affection so very genuine!!
but for this world this seemed to be a game,
for their priorities were money and fame,
in this world full of diplomacy,
my behaviour seemed to be a hypocrisy!!
their reactions tend to kill the child in me,
and I feared my Krishna will go away from me!!
often the question beckoned whether I am right?
but this pious feeling made my soul bright,
but then why do I have to make this emotional fight?
for the feeling in itself is royal,
to be honest, sincere, and loyal!!
today again a promise to my conscience,
never to lose my humility and innocence !!
there might moments which might turn me blue,
Krishna, please help me to stick to my value!!
I realize this chosen path is full of pain,
but answer me…
will I ever happen to pass this path again!!
About this poem
World today is full of anxiety and stress and this poem stresses the need of spreading unconditional love, peace and compassion all around us realising death as an ultimate truth and hence the need to retain the innocence of this heart what we we were born with at the time of birth, when we leave this world.
